Shown at the Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday, Sept. 4, the collection continued in the vein of its breezy pre-Spring Resort collection, shown in June, with a series of flowing, semi-transparent dresses in a variety of floral prints. As easy to wear as the dresses were loose gypsy pants, cinched at the ankle and worn low on the waist, or disco-ready jumpsuits.

As an alternative to this looser silhouette, slim, belted pencil skirts in snakeskin or leopard prints and smart looking jackets with pushed up sleeves offered a way to mix business with pleasure. Get ready to see a lot of versions of this on the runway this season.

Elie Tahari also presented a handful of menswear looks: Loose linen shirts with short rolled sleeves, narrow pants and denim short suits. Nothing to write home about here, but then again, these fade-into-the-background wares make it that much easier to let the woman on your arm pack the punch.
