Girlawhirl's a big fan of mineral makeup, loving the ease of a powder that gives her great coverage and sun protection in a single light application. She's branched out to mineral eye shadows and blush, but truth be told was a little bit wary when the mineral formulations strayed from the typical powder form she has come to know... But now that she's tried Nourish-Mint Sheer Mineral Lip Color from Aveda, she fears no more. It's a sheer lippy that does everything she wants in a lipstick and more. First and foremost the color glides on sheer – so it's perfect for every day – and it lasts quite a bit longer than she expected from something so emollient. Plus, it smells wonderful because there are organic oils of spearmint, vanilla, star anise, cinnamon and a touch of peppermint in it.
The little something extra: after eight weeks of use as their regular lipstick, more than half of the women who wore it reported an increase in lip volume, along with a decrease in fine lines on the lips. There are plenty of natural and organic goodies behind those results: from sweet almond oil, organic babassu, pomegranate seed oil and jojoba oil to raspberry wax, bilberry and more.
