For Girlawhirl, self tanning has always been like a game of roulette. One leg looks fabulous, believable—even enviable, while the other might sport a blotched or mottled knee or ankle. With the weekend looming, Girlawhirl had to dare to go dark, and the darkest tan that comes from a bottle is Rodial's Brazilian Tan. Definitely dark coming out of the bottle, Girlawhirl adopted a ‘gotta get in the game' attitude and gave it a go. Once she had worked it into her legs, they looked wonderfully tan and a little dewy. Because the lotion was colored, she could see exactly where it was going and could make sure that she had worked it in evenly. She had used her usual self tanning tricks: first exfoliation, then a bit of moisturizer on her ankles, knees and elbows, then using a damp washcloth to feather the tanner around the edges of the tops of her feet and heel for the most natural look possible.

It dried in a minute and she proceeded to get dressed for work, even daring to wear a white skirt since her legs were looking lovely already. Throughout the day, the color developed with no streaks, blotches, orange undertones and best of all, none of that usual self tanner smell.

By the time she arrived at the beach that weekend she was ready to match legs with anyone…
