And interestingly enough, her smallest room, the bathroom became the kindest and gentlest of them all. She was due for new towels, so she purchased organic cotton. Her cleaning products do a great job, smell wonderful and don't contain any of the nasties that the old ones did. But the biggest change in her bathroom has taken place around the edge of her shower, where she lines up her always-rotating brigade of hair and body products.

As she finished up her old favorites, Girlawhirl spent a little more time in the beauty aisle of her local health food store and tried lots of new brands. At first she thought that she'd long for the variety that a whole floor of a department store presented, but after a bit of trial and error she's found so many new paraben free, biodegradable and non mineral oil derived products that she's made a mental list of got-to-try-nexts.

For now the ring around her shower is made up of what she calls “The A's:” Pangea, Weleda, Aveda, Akhassa and Hauschka. And for special splurges there's always This Works, Jo Wood and Nude Skincare, leaving her wanting for nothing when it comes to sweet smelling, hard working, gentle on the Earth body products.
