Girlawhirl admits that she tiptoed into the new nude nail look this summer because she was so taken with the beige with a hint of peachy shimmer of the limited edition Orgasm nail polish from Nars. Forsaking her typical summertime brights she went with a nude pedicure just before a weekend away and found her toes to be the subject of much chatter – catching the attention of both sexes… Now she's hooked. But as summer fades to fall, she's searching for alternatives, nudes that are perhaps a bit pink, some without shimmer, and others that have a bit more depth of color without veering too far towards brown. It's apparent after some initial toe-testing that a creamy formulation allows for the depth of color necessary when the actual color itself is so light, and she'll stay away from anything with a frosty look.
Recently, while getting a pedicure, she chose Pink Cocoa Caroline from Dashing Diva. It turned out to be the perfect mix of what she wanted: nude, but with a hint of pink, dense color and not too brown. She knew it was a winner, but felt even further validated when the woman who had polished her toes called her co-workers over to see how great it looked. Something tells Girlawhirl that this just might be the beginning of a new trend in pedicures.
