With the Democratic convention just wrapping up and the Republican convention just days away, Girlawhirl and her pals are becoming more and more interested to hear what the candidates have to say. She can't help but get caught up in the electoral process. So Girlawhirl plans to cozy up with some politically enthusiastic pals this weekend and dig into politics, sharing the appropriately themed Selection 2008 Chocolates along the way… The delicious candidate themed candies from L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates celebrate the heritage of the two parties' candidates for President.
The assortment sealed and stamped for Illinois Senator Barack Obama – the Democratic Party Nominee – features treats like the Hawaiian-Pineapple – a dark chocolate covered pineapple pate de fruit – Kansas Corn Crunch and Tennessee Sour Mash, one of Burdick Chocolate's signature white chocolate mice with cinnamon and sour mash.
While Girlawhirl's thrilled to sample both of the Senator inspired collections, so far, Obama's chocolates have outsold McCain's more than 2-to-1. Girlawhirl wonders if it's a flavor preference, or a chocolate fueled straw poll.
Now that's a debate Girlawhirl's more than capable of weighing in on.
Girlawhirl found her Selection 2008 Chocolates online at LA Burdick Handmade Chocolates.
