Called Choctÿa1l™, it's actually a line or, as Girlawhirl and her Super Pals prefer to say, a series of ice creams, each flavored with chocolate or vanilla from a single origin. They love to get them all softened up and do a taste comparison, finally choosing which chocolate, the Costa Rican, or the San Dominican, or even the Ghana tastes the best to them.
Choctÿa1l ice creams are available in grocery stores and gourmet shops across the country, and soon, there will be a range of vanillas, each from a single country, for the pals to taste. For more information and store locations go to chocotal.com. related articles:

Using the knowledge and terminology they've learned at wine tastings, the Super Pals love to compare not just the taste, but all the notes and even the finishes of the four chocolates and one vanilla flavor. When they find their favorite, they fill their dish with that one. The Kalimantan Chocolate ice cream has a caramel-like finish. The Ghana Chocolate gives its ice cream a rich, deep flavor. Some are sharper, others smoother and more mellow, but now Girlawhirl gets the beauty of how the different beans really do provide completely different chocolate – and vanilla experiences.
