Girlawhirl tries to keep her use of condiments under control. But resisting the flavor her favorite toppers add to a plain old sandwich or boring burger can be nearly impossible. But making one healthier choice; swapping mustard for mayo, is an easy way to save a ton of calories and fat. In fact, if she did so on every sandwich for 12 weeks Girlawhirl would save herself 8640 calories – or nearly 2 ½ lbs.! (Based on a 4-sandwich a week habit). Knowing this, she's always looking for delicious ways to incorporate mustard into her diet in place of other standard sauces. And now French's Mustard wants to reward her condiment creativity… French's® wants to know, “Do You Have the Skinny on Mustard?” Readers that do can win BIG! Mustard enthusiasts everywhere can submit their original healthy recipes starring mustard, of course, for a chance to win the grand-prize: a Day at the Spa for two, worth $1,500 and a year's supply of French's Mustard. Plus, 10 runners-up will each get a $100 American Express gift card.
To enter, contestants simply log onto frenchsfood.com by December 31, 2008 and submit their very best – and healthiest – ideas. Recipes must be 400 words or less. Entries can also be mailed to French's at the address below, but envelopes must be postmarked by December 31.
The panel judging the top twenty recipes includes The Next Food Network Star finalist Kevin Roberts, author of Wings Across America, Chef Armand Vanderstigchel, French's Test Kitchen directors and other famous foodies. They will be looking for quality recipes that are creative and original, and appropriate for the French's brand.

Girlawhirl knows she's got a little time before her tasty new mustard-based recipe is due, but she's ready to get cooking. Maybe she'll create something with a honey-mustard glaze? Or a spicy grilled fish? She has no idea, but creating in the kitchen is half the fun.
