Girlawhirl has never denied her love for a good cookie and she often seeks out new varieties to satisfy her cravings. But her latest discovery came quite by accident. In fact, she was on a much more virtuous mission – looking for non-fat greek yogurt – when she discovered them…
There in the dairy case was what looked like a tub of ice cream or maybe yogurt, but, upon closer inspection, turned out to hold cookie dough. Tom’s Cookie Dough to be exact. Girlawhirl was pretty intent on sticking to her original shopping plan, but she picked up the container just to check it out. And she ended up putting them in her cart after reading Tom’s mission statement: “Be kind to animals. Be kind to your community. Be kind to women. Be kind to yourself.” Now that’s a cookie Girlawhirl can support!
The all natural ingredients –
real butter, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, etc. – were another selling point for her (because when Girlawhirl indulges in a cookie, it’s got to be all real). As soon as she got home, she preheated her oven to 325, put the cookie dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and 15 minutes later she had hot, gooey, delicious, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookies. Addicted to the ease of it all, the next week she brought the Café Latte cookie dough to work and popped them in the office toaster oven for an afternoon “coffee” break with her co-workers. She was very popular that day.
With at least five other flavors – from Oatmeal Raisin to Milk Chocolate Toffee Crunch – to try, Girlawhirl knows she’ll be able to carry out the last part of Tom’s mission: “Be kind to yourself. Enjoy my cookies often.” No problem!
