Girlawhirl knows it sounds silly: Cherry Pie Month! What will they think of next? She suspects that the association of Cherry Pie with February might be connected to George Washington, whose birthday is also celebrated in February, the 22nd to be exact… George Washington and cherries have a long history because of that legendary story about him cutting down his father's cherry tree when he was a boy, and when he was asked about it he supposedly uttered that famous line:
