daylight saving time begins sunday morning Mar 6, 2009

Sleep is a very precious commodity in Girlawhirl's world. She simply doesn't run properly without a full night's sleep to recharge her tank. So while she doesn't exactly look forward to losing an hour of sleep, she's willing to sacrifice a little beauty rest to welcome her favorite sign that spring is almost here: “springing” the clocks ahead one hour on Sunday… If Daylight Saving Time feels a little early, that's because it is. Sort of. March 2007 was the first year Daylight Saving Time came earlier (thanks to an act signed by President Bush in an effort to save energy).
Now Girlawhirl looks forward to more hours of light a whole month earlier. It's just what she needs to lift her spirits and get her through to summer, but right now, she's just looking forward to leaving work in daylight instead of darkness.
So she's reminding all of her Super Pals to set their clocks forward on March 7 because the official jump happens at 2 a.m. March 8, and she's going to be ready, even if it means being slightly sleep-deprived.
