When the backstabbing in the competitive kitchen becomes literal, Joy becomes a murder suspect and Clare knows she has to find the real killer to clear her daughter's name, even if it lands her in the hottest water yet.

• Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Sanction by Eric Van Lustbader Having picked up where author Robert Ludlum left off with The Bourne series before his 2001 death, Eric Van Lustbader offers his third installment in the life of Jason Bourne. Here, Bourne returns to Georgetown University and the tame world of his alter ego, David Webb. But he soon finds himself unsettled in this quiet lifestyle. Aware of Bourne's dissatisfaction, his mentor, Professor Specter, asks for his help investigating a former student's murder by an, up till now, unknown Muslim extremist sect – the Black Legion. The student died while carrying intelligence about the sect's terrorist activities and plans to attack the U.S. Their plans are also on Central Intelligence's radar, where new director Veronica Hart is struggling to gain respect. Taking advantage of the opportunity to take over CI, the National Security Agency plans to show up CI by completing the one task it never could: kill Jason Bourne. In Europe, Bourne's investigation becomes one of the most deadly of his life; with an assassin as good as he is closing in with every second.
