In theaters this Friday:

Burn After Reading—R—The new comedy thriller from the Coen Brothers starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and John Malkovich. When CIA analyst Osbourne Cox (Malkovich) is ousted, he returns to his Georgetown home to drink and write his memoirs. In the meantime, his wife (Swinton) focuses on her affair with a married federal marshal (Clooney) and figuring out a plan to leave Cox. When a computer disc containing material for his memoirs falls into the hands of Hardbodies Fitness Center employees Linda Litzke (McDormand) and Chad Feldheimer (Pitt), they decide to exploit the find. But events spiral out of control in a cascading series of hilarious encounter.

The Women—PG-13—Based on George Cukor's 1939 film, this 21st century update has an extraordinary female cast including, Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Debra Messing, Candace Bergen, Bette Midler, Carrie Fisher and Cloris Leachman. The story centers on Ryan's character, Mary Haines, a thoroughly modern woman suddenly confronted with an age-old problem: a cheating husband. The ladies in her life quickly rally round her, led by her best friend, Sylvie (Bening), a dynamic and single magazine editor. But when Sylvie betrays Mary, the entire group is shaken to the core and the two women face what may be the most painful breakup of all – the end of their friendship.

Righteous Kill—R—Robert De Niro and Al Pacino star as two veteran NYPD detectives on the trail of a vigilante serial killer who targets violent felons who've fallen through the cracks of the judicial system. Their search soon turns inward as they realize the killer may be one of their own.

The Family that Preys—PG-13—Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard star as life-long friends and matriarchs of two very different families – one working class and one upper crust – linked by and being torn apart by greed and scandal. While paternity secrets, marital infidelity, greed and unsavory business dealings threaten to derail both the families, the women decide to make a cross-country road trip in which they rediscover themselves and possibly find a way to save their families from ruin.

But her carefully crafted plan is thrown out the window when Angie shows up on Kate's doorstep in need of a place to stay. Now the two must prepare for the baby's arrival and try not to kill each other in the meantime.
