She has a flair for words and they end up working together on the song, and more.
• Daddy's Little Girls—PG-13—Gabrielle Union plays a successful lawyer who hasn't been nearly as successful in love. New DVD releases:

When a student discovers his secret, he becomes an unexpected mentor to the girl as they become friends while he tries to deal with his demons.
• Marie Antoinette—Sofia Coppola's take on the life of the infamous French Queen played by Kirsten Dunst. Coppola mixes modern music with over the top fashions to tell the story of the woman who was the inspiration for the world's first fashion magazines.

• The US vs. John Lennon—David Leaf and John Scheinfeld look at the attempts of the United States government, under Richard Nixon's administration, to try and silence and ultimately deport former Beatle John Lennon for his criticism of the US's involvement in the Vietnam War.

Season 3: Emergency
Season 6: All in the Family
Season 7: The Golden Girls
New CD releases:
• West—Lucinda Williams—Williams says the songs on this CD deal with a chapter in her life and tell a story. Inspired by her mother's death and the bitter end of a relationship, Williams says, “obviously there's a lot of pain and struggling, but it ends with a look toward the future.”
• At the Movies: Soundtrack Hits—Van Morrison—19 of Morrison's songs that have been featured in movies over the past three decades, from “Gloria” used in 1983's The Outsiders, to his cover of Pink Floyd's “Comfortably Numb” used in last year's Scorsese film The Departed.
• In My Songs—Gerald Levert—The final studio album from the legendary R&B singer who died last November. It's a collection of vintage sounding R&B songs that are reminiscent of his 20-year career and reminders of what has been lost.

But as the Fourth of July holiday draws to an end, a tragedy strikes changing the course of their year, and their lives. As the sisters move into a New York City brownstone with their father to heal, they begin to reflect on the paths they've chosen over a year of laughs, tears and men.
• Ten Days in the Hills by Jane Smiley—Max, an Academy Award winning writer/director who's more has-been than hot commodity, and his girlfriend, Elena, lie in bed the morning after the 2003 Oscars discussing the previous night's events and the recently launched war in Iraq, among other things. But the lazy morning will soon turn into a house full of guests including Max's diva ex-wife and her spiritual healer/ boyfriend and Max's agent-friend Stone. Over the next ten days, Pulitzer Prize winning author Jane Smiley's characters discuss life, Tinsel Town past and present, and just generally gossip about life in the Hollywood Hills.
• The Double Bind by Chris Bohjalian—After someone attacks her while riding her bike on a rural Vermont road, Laurel Estabrook's life is never the same. The college sophomore retreats into a life behind her camera lens and begins volunteering at a homeless shelter. After his sudden death, Laurel learns Bobbie used to be a big-time photographer working with legends like Chuck Berry and Eartha Kitt.
