In book stores:
• Bungalow 2 by Danielle Steel—The glitz and glamour of Hollywood is a far cry from the life Marin County mom and freelance writer Tanya Harris leads, until her agent calls one day offering her the chance of a lifetime: to write a major screenplay. Soon she's living the high life in Bungalow 2 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She feels creative and alive, but her ties to home are still very strong. The more wrapped up she becomes in Hollywood though, the more she sees how her family at home can survive without her. And as big time producer Douglas Wayne sets his sites on Tanya, and one award winning film leads to another, she faces decisions that could change her life in ways she could never have imagined.
• Drop Dead Beautiful by Jackie Collins—International bestselling author Jackie Collins returns with her 25th guilty pleasure. Strong, sexy Lucky Santangelo is back and ready to reclaim her Las Vegas power position. But a deadly enemy has returned as well, and threatens to take what Lucky values most: her two boys and a teenage daughter as wild as Lucky herself.
• Peony in Love by Lisa See—In seventeenth century China, young Peony, the cloistered daughter of a wealthy family, is betrothed to someone she has never met. At the Chen Family Villa, a theatrical troupe is performing an opera where the heroin – like Peony – though raised to be obedient, has dreams of her own. Her mother believes it's inappropriate for an unwed woman to be seen in public. But her father assures his wife Peony will be protected, sitting behind a screen with the other single women to enjoy the opera. But all it takes is one glimpse through the screen of a handsome young man and Peony's life is turned upside down.
• New England White by Steven L. Carter—A murder in a quiet university New England town threatens to uncover the hidden racial complications of the town's past, a prominent family's secrets, and the strength of African-American political influence. University president – and close personal friend of the President – Lemaster Carlyle finds himself at the center of the mystery, with his wife Julia – a former lover of the dead man – close behind. And the mystery only deepens as Julia begins to discover the earth-shattering truth about the motive for the murder.
