In theaters this Friday:

• Good Luck Chuck—R—Comedian Dane Cook plays a successful dentist who is unlucky in love. • Sydney White—PG-13—Amanda Bynes is Sydney White, a tomboy college freshman who ditches her snobby sorority sisters and finds a place with a bunch of dorky guys. Fed up with the way they are treated, Sydney leads them in a campaign to take over the student government.

• We Are Marshall—When a plane crash kills 75 members of the Marshall University football team, a new coach, played by Matthew McConaughey, must step in to help the football program, and the surviving team members, recover.

• The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen—Walking the grounds of her newly purchased home in rural Massachusetts, Julia Hamill makes a terrifying discovery. She finds a human skull buried in her yard. Boston Medical Examiner Maura Isles knows right away the skull belonged to a female and that it has the unmistakable marks of murder. In 1830s Boston, medical student Norris Marshall takes up plundering graveyards for black market medical cadavers in order to pay for school. But when a renowned doctor is found murdered and mutilated, the way Marshall pays his bills makes him a prime suspect.
