All About the Flirt at Nanette Lepore Feb 9, 2007

Girlawhirl always loves Nanette Lapore's feminine and pretty clothes. And for Fall 07, she's just as flirty as can be. Soft brown, plumy burgundy and grey in fabrics that looked so soft that Girlawhirl had to force herself not to reach out and touch them as they passed by her on the runway… Velvets, mohair, soft sweaters and even a plaid of camel and grey: it all looked so cozy but still smart and sexy at the same time. The shorter silhouettes were swingy and A-line, especially the dresses, and there were tunics worn over full legged pants. But Girlawhirl's all time favorite was a short plaid skirt worn with a taupe T-neck with a little sparkle knit into it.
Girlawhirl, who's always attracted to prints and pattern, loved the Pucci-esque pattern, done in browns, purples and burgundy on velvet dresses and other blouses. There were other prints as well, and it all just added to the luxe look of the layers. The solid velvet pieces were gorgeous as well, some embellished with shine and sparkles and others seamed and pieced to create great lines.
The dress she knows she'll be wearing to parties when the 07 holidays roll around? Lepore's sequined short dress, in rugby-like stripes of coppery sequins on a grey body.
