When the weather's warm, Girlawhirl and her Super Pals have a standing pedicure date: Sunday mornings, twice a month. As their toes dry they stop for coffee and have a little chat before getting on with their day. But in the winter, it all changes, not because their toes are in hibernation, but because the weather wreaks havoc with the process…
It's impossible to navigate the city streets full of snow and slushy puddles when wearing flip flops. Truth be told, the cold – as long as it is not accompanied by the aforementioned snow and slush – is less of a factor because any Super Pal worth her salt can – in the name of perfect toes – brave a quick walk in freezing temperatures. Still the twice a month standing appointment never stands in the winter.
But Super Pals and pedicure-goers everywhere no longer have to brave the cold of winter in flip-flops.
Girlawhirl has discovered Bootie Pies, soft suede boots with a convertible toe. Now her feet will remain warm and perfectly pedicured throughout the winter months.
After her feet are soaked, buffed, and prepped, and just before the polish goes on, Girlawhirl slips on her Bootie Pies and pushes down the top of the toe box so it's underneath her toes. Her polish goes on and she can walk home, do errands, or even stop for coffee on the way, and her feet stay toasty the whole time while her toes stick out, unharmed, drying to perfection.
