can girlawhirl wear her cropped boyfriend jeans into fall?
definitely, with the right kind of boot
Sep 2, 2009

Girlawhirl's boyfriend jeans, with their slouchy fit and cropped cuffed legs have become her summertime uniform. She loves the way they look with sandals or flip flops and a fitted T or tank top. But now that fall's around the corner, she's not so sure how to move the look forward…

The key is in the balance of proportion. Since this jean is full, she's got to keep her top slim. And from a classic ribbed turtleneck to any kind of slim fitting ¾ or long sleeve T or lightweight sweater, there are plenty of fall and winter tops in her closet that will work.

And while she knows she can always throw on a pair of ballet flats when it's too chilly for sandals, what Girlawhirl's really looking for is the right kind of boot to perfect the look.

The knee high heeled boots that she wears for work just won't do, and while some of her Super Pals swear that anything resembling a Cowboy boot will work, Girlawhirl thinks that more casual boots, those that are designed to go straight up from the foot rather than hugging the ankle, are the perfect counter balance to the cropped and cuffed bottom of her Boyfriend jeans. There is no need for them to go all the way up to her knee, but they've got to be high enough to make sure that no part of her leg shows, even when she sits!
