While she understands that leggings are still very much a part of the look for Fall 2009, Girlawhirl's grappling with just how she can make leggings work for her. She's always been a huge fan of all incarnations of a slim leg, but somehow she just can't see herself wearing a pair of leggings to the office. So she's been searching for grown-up alternatives…
With Dianne von Furstenberg's leather leggings and wool jersey versions from many of the European runway designers leading the fashion pack, Girlawhirl knows she'll be able to find just what she wanted: a substantial knit fabric, construction that's more pant-like than just a pull on legging, and a price that wouldn't send her running in the other direction. And of course she scored. She'll be living in Joe's Jeans Knit Chelsea this fall. They're cut like a perfect pair of skinny jeans, but with all the forgiveness that the thick, soft cotton knit fabric provides. Equally stylish with flats, heels or boots, they move from office to evening with ease, and will probably be the pants she reaches for the next time she's headed for a trans continental flight.
