Nighttime glamour rules the runway at Monique Lhuillier

All the looks at the Monique Lhuillier show were red carpet worthy and got Girlawhirl daydreaming about what she'd wear if she ever had that kind of a glamourous opportunity…

Girlawhirl loves the way Lhuillier uses stones and jewels on her gowns, and is always amazed that with all the adornment, it never looks like ‘bling.' In fact, the stones are the perfect sophisticated accents to these sleek gowns. In keeping with all the interest in belts and waistlines, Lhuillier embellished the waists of many of the gowns, creating the look of a belt.

Not only were these dresses soft and pretty, in floaty solid colored chiffons – interesting because almost all of the other runways have featured so many prints – Girlawhirl was taken in by the colors. There was much more than basic black... gorgeous burgundies, soft cocoa and dark brown, sage green, olive and cream were all well represented.

Girlawhirl definitely knows where to go when she's in the market for a gown!
