At the start of each holiday season, Girlawhirl spends a little time shopping for herself, looking for just the right pieces to make getting ready for holiday parties easy. A couple of tops are all she needs, and if they move from office to night out without too much fuss, even better… Her first purchase is just as versatile as it is pretty. With this black scoop neck merino wool sweater from Nanette Lepore under a jacket, Girlawhirl's all business at the office. But once she's shut down her computer and left the jacket on the back of her chair, she's ready for cocktails. There's a bow at the back of her neck above an open triangle that shows off her shoulder blades. The feminine puffy sleeves add even more drama, even when she pairs it with a pair of simple jeans for a weekend night out.
And while Girlawhirl certainly wants to feel fabulous every time she goes out, after a few too many invites, she knows her enthusiasm for the whole process will definitely decrease.
