Girlawhirl's far more interested in pushing the summertime fashion envelope these days, but last fall – and again this spring – items that she had been eyeing at J.Crew were sold out when she finally went to purchase them. Whether it's that they were truly in demand, or that the carefully planned inventories underestimated the popularity of the items she wanted, really doesn't matter. She lost out. And this fall, she's not going to let these patent leather beauties slip away… They've only been available for a couple of weeks and already some of the colors in popular size 9 are backordered. With their wooden heels – 2 ¾”, a height she can definitely manage – and classy patent leather uppers, these Juliet heels come in so many of-the-moment colors that Girlawhirl's struggling to choose just one. She instinctively – and inevitably – gravitates towards the black patent, imagining years of wear, but a pop of color – perhaps the gorgeous teal called bright peacock – is more in keeping with what's new for Fall 08.
And another patent piece that's sure to make it into Girlawhirl's J.Crew shopping bag is this skinny patent leather belt.
