Girlawhirl's back in the office but truth be told she can't concentrate on work at all. After a few days off and some holiday cheer, the last thing she wants to do is set goals and figure out how to land some new clients in the upcoming year. So she's completely distracted and is taking a little break from it all by checking out the spring shoes on the internet…
Perhaps it's complete avoidance of what needs to get done or some sort of shoe fixation, but ever since she caught a glimpse of resort and spring collections in the catalogs that have arrived at her home or the emails that come in on a daily basis, she's been obsessed.
Today she's all over Bettye Muller's Connie slip-on in a springy navy patent leather named Blue Pave. To Girlawhirl's eye, its wooden heel has just the right height and heft for walking. She can just picture herself hitting the streets of her city in these when spring arrives.
Yesterday it was the Vachetta Sandals that she spied in the latest catalog from J.Crew. She knows she's months away from sporting these, but the Botanical Green color must be part of her summer wardrobe.
Ridiculous, she knows. But really, Girlawhirl won't be able to get back to the tasks at hand until she places these orders. They can be her very own little post-holiday treat.
