A master of the graphic print and pattern, the Temperley London show at Spring 08 New York Fashion Week didn't disappoint Girlawhirl or pattern loving Super Pals everywhere…

The graphic black on cream patterns were Girlawhirl favorites – especially two short dresses – one with a layered almost flapper like bottom and a second with black accents on the bodice and waist and a cream almost tile-like pattern throughout the rest of the dress. There was a gown as well that Girlawhirl dreamed of wearing to a Black & White Ball. The same black accents took a less graphic but still spectacular turn as accents on two swingy short mushroom and beige colored dresses. A cheery spindly floral print in a mix of apple green, duney-beige with red accents was also on Girlawhirl's gotta have it list.

Offsetting the pop of patterns were solid dresses in neutral colors like mushroom and dune, a brighter apple green and coral. The collection was inspired by the French Seaside of the 1930's and thus there was a nod to that era in the way Temperely used corseting details, seams and pleating to emphasize waistlines, jumpsuits and short dresses with interest below the waist.

And what's becoming one of Girlawhirl's favorite looks for Spring 08 was also part of the Temperly London show: necklines that look like jewel encrusted necklaces.
