There's nothing more classically chic than a white shirt. Girlawhirl has several in her wardrobe that she can always turn to when she's in need of just the right look. Her menswear inspired one, adds an air of authority to a basic black skirt, ruffled fronts look great layered over a tank top with jeans and a wrap top, done in crisp white cotton walks the tightrope between smart and sexy without falling off on either side… Today, as part of its partnership with The Council of Fashion Designers of America and the Vogue Fashion Fund the Gap will introduce a collection of whites, all inspired by its classic white shirt. They're designed by the winners of the Fashion Fund competition: Doo-Ri Chung of Doo.Ri, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte and Thakoon Panichgul of Thakoon, and Girlawhirl can't wait to get her hands on them!
Which white will be her summer-time go to top? The sleeveless trapeze from Rodarte? Or Doo.Ri's that has a scarf that drapes at the neckline? It could be Thakoon's puffed sleeve belted shirtdress. Yes! Shirtdresses are also part of the collections!
What could be cooler and crisper than a white shirtdress?
