This year cocktails are pink and the sweets are chocolatey. Friends who attend will bring a little something to munch on like cheese and crackers, stuffed mushrooms, and satay or kabobs from a local restaurant. Girlawhirl's got the bar set up, and it includes the sparkling pink Nuvo vodka –which is such a hit with her crowd that it's become their signature drink – as well as a new addition, Ayala Rosé Majeur champagne, a pretty pink bubbly that's made with grapes that are so sweet, no additional sugar is needed in the fermentation process.

The highlight of last year's get together was Chuck Spezzano's The Love Pack, a set of cards and simple “readings” that everyone had fun with. This year Girlawhirl's sure that The Love Deck from Chiera's Kismet Cards will add to the fun with two different ways to do a quick reading – either the yes or no option or the part of the deck that allows for more complex questions and results. And for reading material, books by Matt Titus and Tamsen Fadal – they're a couple who lay it all on the line from what's going on inside a guy's head to all a woman needs to say, or do, to keep him wanting more – are definitely part of the mix. Their new book Why Hasn't He Proposed? is a great follow up to their first, Why Hasn't He Called?, and Girlawhirl's got copies of both on hand.
