Girlawhirl always refers to her circle of friends as her Super Pals. And for the most part her readers understand the terminology. In fact, some go so far as to refer to their own gaggle of girlfriends as Super Pals as well… But there are those who question the terminology. Some say it takes them back to Studio 54 and the “super-fly” generation. Others think it's all a bit cartoonish and lacks the sophistication associated with Girlawhirl's other pursuits. And without realizing it, they've hit the nail right on the head; therein lies the beauty of the Super Pal.
Who else has the power to transform a hell-of-an-afternoon into an evening full of laughter? Who else can fight off negative thoughts with a single quip? And who else just “gets it,” no explanation necessary? These are the attributes that any Super Pal worthy of her nickname possesses, along with so many more.
So there you have it. Girlawhirl refers to her closest friends as Super Pals because, truth be told, that's exactly what they are: her very own personal Super Heros.
