Girlawhirl can't believe that there's a hypoallergenic cat!

Girlawhirl's always preferred the company of a pet, something warm and fuzzy to cuddle up with and watch TV with after a long hard day. But her work and travel schedule simply do not allow her time to dote on a puppy, and her allergies outright forbid a feline. But she recently heard there may be hope for her, and it doesn't include allergy shots or extensive quantities of medication…

A cuddly little kitten that doesn't make her sneeze… and sneeze… and sneeze? Sounds almost too good to be true. But ALLERCA – a San Diego based ‘lifestyle pet company' – found a way to naturally breed cats with a modified gene. This modification prevents the cats from secreting the protein humans are allergic to.

Priced at almost $4,000, the ALLERCA® GD cats don't come cheap, but the company says adding a family member is priceless. And plenty of cat lovers out there agree. The fantastic felines are ready for their new homes, but there is already a waiting list of up to 18 months!

For now, her career wouldn't be fair to a pet; but she's happy to know when the time comes, her allergies won't prevent her from adding a cuddly kitten to her family.
