In an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people screened for skin cancer in a single day, members of the American Academy of Dermatology have scheduled a day of screenings on Saturday, May 6th … With more than a million and a half new cases diagnosed each year, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US. One in five Americans will develop some type of skin cancer during the course of their lives. But here's what keeps Girlawhirl on her toes: Melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer is being increasingly diagnosed in women under 40. It is the most common cancer for women aged 25-29 and the second most common for women 30-34.
But, if detected early, there is an average 95% cure rate with skin cancer. By breaking the record, the American Academy of Dermatology
