Last year almost three quarters of a million people ran in Nike’s Human Race, with organized races in cities all over the world and individuals who couldn’t make it to the races clocking in their own times through the Nike + running website. A few special runners ran the race in Australia, then hopped on a plane to Los Angeles where they ran it again – logging in two legs of the 10K. And it’s all happening again this weekend, on October 24, 2009…
Anyone can run in one of the organized races around the globe, but what Girlawhirl loves most is that since she has a Nike + wristband and tracks her running and walking workouts online, she can participate from wherever she’ll be on the 24th. Her route. Her schedule. All she needs to do is upload her workout when she’s finished.
