For Girlawhirl buying organic is second nature. The stores in her neighborhood have a great selection of organic products, both packaged and fresh. But organic at all costs is not always her mantra because in some cases the cost of organic produce in her local stores can be double the cost of conventionally grown...

In order to manage her finances as well as her diet, and to figure out where she should be putting her organic dollars, Girlawhirl found a
wallet sized guide online which lists her organic best bets and where she can go conventional.

Strawberries, raspberries and other berries should always be organic, because their coarse seedy shapes tend to hold on to pesticide residues when grown conventionally. Apples, cherries, peaches and spinach do as well. But there's no need to splurge on organic avocados, bananas, kiwi and onions.

Girlawhirl checks her little chart as she shops, so she's always up to speed on what to splurge on and where she can save.
