A Swim band keeps Girlawhirl's hair out of her face when she's in the water Jul 24, 2007

Girlawhirl's never one to slap on a swim cap before she heads to the pool unless she absolutely has to – think high school swim team. But having hit the water both with and without headgear, Girlawhirl can certainly tell the difference. With a cap her hair is dry but trapped. Without, she winds up with the occasional mid-stroke blinding by hairs that have escaped from her ponytail. But now she's found the perfect “happy medium” that leaves her vision hair-free, and her hair free to float in the water… The R•Gali Swim Band is Girlawhirl's favorite way to keep stray hairs at bay without having to cover up her whole head in a swim cap. Girlawhirl just slips the band over her head as she would any head scarf and she's free to hit the water. Even diving in off the spring board her swim band stayed put.
They're available in either latex, which is recommended for serious swimming and athletes, or silicone, which can also be used to keep her hair out of her face while she's on the beach, and they come in a wide variety of colors. So Girlawhirl can pick whichever material she prefers and even match her bathing suit while she's at it.
