watergym is a great summertime workout

Always looking to spice up Girlawhirl's workout, trainer Tiffany Davidson presented her with the perfect summertime workout: WaterGym. Before long, Girlawhirl had organized a pool party, and in no time she and her Super Pals were warming-up, running, kick-boxing, biking, fluttering, cross-country skiing and cooling-down in the pool…

WaterGym's Weight Loss and Strengthening DVD is a highly informative, safe and fun water workout. Narrator and creator Susanne Paynovich does a fantastic job explaining the exercises and the many benefits of water exercise in general, not least among these being: no impact, joint stress or gravitational restrictions. The three-part workout system includes an instructional DVD and a CD of the workout, in addition to a 12-panel color waterproof cue card to keep poolside.

 

Girlawhirl wore a flotation belt during one of her workouts, which kept her head above water and allowed her to focus on how her body moved during each exercise. It was quite a difference from her swimming days where she was taught to minimize drag. Now she had to concentrate on maximizing drag and take advantage of the water's natural resistance.
