Can Girlawhirl be in love with her digital camera with slim mode? Jan 25, 2007

Girlawhirl's mentioned it before, but this time she is seriously in love. She used, played with, and borrowed almost every kind of digital camera on the market. So when the time came to invest in her own, she had a pretty good idea of what she wanted and where to find it. With high hopes she bought the camera, and with fingers crossed, she brought it home. To say she is pleased with her purchase is the understatement of the season… Girlawhirl has completely flipped over her brand new HP Photosmart R725 digital camera. Having used a Super Pal's HP camera and seen the “Slim Mode” in action (as in the camera stretches the photo to make everyone look slightly thinner), Girlawhirl knew she wanted an HP. She was happy to see the reasonable price, and loved its pocket size. But when she finally turned on her new digital camera she found so much more inside.
The camera's got just about every feature she could dream up – and even some she couldn't have. She can fix red-eye, resize and change the color scale and tone right there, on the camera. And then there are the super fun options. Girlawhirl can take a picture then add borders or redo her prints as a cartoon, a watercolor, in ink dots, with a retro look or even as a kaleidoscope.
It has 6.2 mega pixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom and also records video with audio. All of that translates into sharp pictures even at a distance – and great little videos too. There's also a function that takes her images from 4” x 6” photos to full-blown poster size! She only hopes there's an opportunity to use that feature. Perhaps at an upcoming Super Pal's landmark-year birthday bash. Plus the battery lasts and lasts, so Girlawhirl can charge it up and not worry about it dying while she's busy doing her best Annie Leibovitz impression.
This camera redefines the notion of “a picture is worth 1,000 words.”
