Shredding Scissors keep girlawhirl's identity a secret

Girlawhirl appreciates the identity saving usefulness of a good document shredder. At work it's her favorite office toy. At home though, her ‘essentials only' space (translation: super small apartment where all available storage is devoted to clothing, handbags and shoes) doesn't allow for such luxuries. But now she's got a handheld solution to her paper trail woes…

Girlawhirl certainly takes all of the precautionary steps to make sure her important documents – like credit card bills, bank statements, and other identifying information – stay private. She tears and rips everything and tosses the pieces in separate waste paper baskets, making sure the garbage from each hits the curb on different days.

But now she's got an even better – and certainly more fun – solution. The Shredder Hand has the basic design of a typical pair of scissors, except these special shears feature five blades on each side, so with each clip her paper is cut into five skinny strips.

While it takes her a little bit of hacking – she found the Shredder Hand works best with only one piece of paper at a time – she really had fun with it. And when she looked down at her truly shredded former bill, she felt a sense of ease realizing it would have taken her five times as long to achieve the same effect tearing it by hand.

Girlawhirl found Compact Impact's Shredder Hand in her online shopping mall at amazon.com.
