Girlawhirl loves old homes. Even the most intricately done reproduction can't compare to the character of a grand old Victorian in Girlawhirl's mind. But she's also the first to admit the benefits of a modern reproduction are enormous, from energy efficiency to layouts more suited to the way she intends to entertain – when she finally buys her own home. Another ‘con' of living in a hundred-year-old home: old pipes. Antique bathroom fixtures are a huge bonus, but the equally antiquated piping system can be more of a hazard than a blessing. Case in point: a recent near scalding while staying at a Super Pal's home. Girlawhirl set the water temperature, but when she stepped into the shower it was so hot she actually screamed. Her Super Pal apologized profusely, explaining that someone must have run the cold water somewhere else in the house even though they are usually very careful about that. But with little kids around, Girlawhirl knew she had to come up with a better solution for her Pal…
Luckily for Girlawhirl it didn't take her too long to find the answer to her Super Pal's piping hot problems. The H2OT-Stop® line of showerheads and tub faucets are designed to detect when the water temperature is becoming too hot to handle, and then do something about it! The showerheads actually slow water flow down to a trickle until the temp is at a manageable degree. The whole process takes around 30 seconds at most, but it can prevent a serious scalding.
Plus, the Anti-Scald Shower Head and Anti-Scald Hand Shower are super easy to install. No special tools required. She just screws the showerhead onto her existing mount and she no longer has to think twice about whether the washing machine is running before jumping in the shower. And even better, her Super Pal and her little ones don't have to compromise safety for old-fashioned home character.
