A rotating outlet is the coolest gadget in girlawhirl's apartment

Girlawhirl likes to keep her work in the office, preferring to stay at her desk late every now and then rather than taking work home with her. It's mostly because she likes to think of her home as a place reserved for relaxing, entertaining and having a good time. She wants no work associations there.

But that doesn't mean that she's computer-less at home. She has a laptop and all the requisite gear – printer, router and more – that goes with it. The one thing she doesn't have is enough plug space to support her electronics. And it gets worse when something, like her digital camera or phone, needs to be charged because those big bulky plugs – called transformer plugs – cover up all the other outlets around.

But thanks to her new rotating outlets, Girlawhirl can rotate the plugs any which way so she can use all of them, even the transformer plugs. It's such a cool gadget that Girlawhirl's going to be sharing it with everyone for the holidays; it's going to be her number one stocking stuffer!

Truth be told, she had someone install it for her, but anyone with the slightest DIY ability should be able to do it. It's all back-wired and each connection – hot, neutral and grounded – are labeled.

Girlawhirl found her fabulous rotating outlet at thinkgeek.com.
