with this handy new tool, girlawhirl can make chopped salads at home Jun 2, 2009
|
Girlawhirl's been replicating her new favorite salad at home, often throwing in chicken or turkey breast to add some protein in the mix. And the key – she thinks – is in the chopping. That way every forkful contains a bit of everything, even if it takes 20 minutes of chopping. But now, she's on to a fabulous little salad chopping contraption that makes it so much easier.
It's from OXO, looks like a two-sided pizza wheel and comes with a special bowl so she doesn't scratch the bottoms of all her salad bowls. Girlawhirl still needs to take a few minutes to make sure her salad's chopped to her satisfaction, but it's far faster than individually chopping each ingredient.
Girlawhirl's so in love with this chopping device that she's expanded her repertoire of chopped salads to include a new favorite: avocados, tomatoes, cilantro, cheddar or jack cheese and salsa flavored dressing.
