Girlawhirl's city dwelling is pretty typical of a building that was constructed at the turn of the twentieth century: small rooms with high ceilings and wood floors. Usually she views the 12-foot ceilings as the architectural feature she loves the most about her apartment. That is, of course, until she has to change a light bulb. And forget about her closets. Sometimes she actually brings a flashlight in to see what's been hiding on the top shelf. She's tried every kind of wireless light to illuminate her dark spaces, but none ever lived up to their claims. Then she finally found one that worked… The AA battery operated Westinghouse light looks deceptively like an average light bulb. Instead it's a bright little light encased in a light bulb shaped, shatterproof case.
The light slides out of the holder for easy battery replacement. And she thinks the drawstring pull adds a little fun. Plus, it doubles as a handheld light in case of a blackout. This is one flashlight she'll always know where to find.
She bought one as a test, but now that she knows she likes it, Girlawhirl's making a list of the other spots in her apartment that could use a little lighting up.
Girlawhirl found her Westinghouse Stick Up Bulb in her online shopping mall at amazon.com. |

But what Girlawhirl really loves is that it has double stick tape already attached to the holder so she can stick up the aptly named Stick Up Bulb wherever – under a shelf, in a cabinet, on her balcony – and, voila! Her space is lit.
