Girlawhirl and her super pals take an interesting approach to job hunting

With Labor Day in her sights, and all but the last weekend of summer behind her, Girlawhirl knows she'll be getting back to work soon. It's not like she had the whole summer off, but something about the warm weather and the occasional early Friday exit from the office to facilitate weekends away makes her feel as if she's taken a break from the workday grind…

But just as it was when she was in school, the end of summer means she's got to get her brain – and the brains of those who report to her – back to work. For a Super Pal or two, it also means looking for a new job. As it turns out, most people put off a job search during the summer preferring to take advantage of their vacation days when the weather's warm. But once September hits, job hunting activities peak. At CareerBuilder.com job searches increase by as much as 20% after Labor Day and the flurry of activity continues through September.

Of course, finding the right job is serious business, but Girlawhirl found a fun way to approach it. She sent a copy of CareerBuilder's What's Your Sign? Hot Jobs for Your Horoscope article to her Super Pals who are looking for a new job. After all, why not find a job that not only meets their career goals but also matches their strengths according to their astrological sign?

And the article totally made sense. Her older sister, a Taurus, has had a long and successful engineering career and that fits right in with the architecture or landscaping recommended in the article. Her Leo Pal, who takes the lead whenever they make plans, is in fact a strong leader, and she should look for jobs that allow her to take charge.
