Starting with the construction of 150 affordable, sustainable homes in the lower 9th Ward, Brad Pitt and local residents are aiming to get an area devastated by the hurricane back on its feet through Make It Right 9.
In addition to just simply making a monetary donation, Girlawhirl can take a virtual tour of the planned single-family homes and select exactly which items she'd like to donate. Energy Star appliances? Interior Paint? Roof top solar panels? Sustainable landscaping? Rainwater harvesting equipment? She can't decide on just one.
There's even an opportunity to adopt an entire house for $150,000. Girlawhirl's spreading the word - and hopefully if she and Super Pals pool their resources, they can help New Orleans get a leg up on rebuilding, even if they can't donate enough for that entire house.
