Girlawhirl's proud to be a part of a company that gives back to the community – both locally and globally. Some Super Pals aren't as lucky. One Pal told her she was fed up with working for a corporation that had zero sense of social responsibility, and she was on a mission to find another job at a company that cared. This got Girlawhirl thinking, which companies out there take care of the world around them? Seems Careerbuilder.com had the same question and did the sleuthing for her…

McDonald's, JC Penney and GE are just a few listed in CareerBuilder.com's 25 Companies That Are Good for the World and Your Wallet. Corporate social responsibility is being called into play as “more and more Americans are seeking it,” according to CareerBuilder. It says a survey of American workers – conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Millennium Promise and CareerBuilder.com – found that almost three quarters of employees think their company should help people living in extreme poverty outside the U.S.

It also says “If you want to work for a company that will be good for not only your wallet, but also the world, do your homework.” Check the "About Us" section of a potential
employer's website to see if it has information on social responsibility or community involvement. That way concerned jobseekers, like Girlawhirl's Super Pal, can find a position where not only can they feel good about a job well done, but also great about being part of a company that cares for the world around it.
