Girlawhirl thinks food drives are one of the easiest ways to make a difference. Not only can she get goods to someone who needs them, all she has to do to help out is shop her own pantry. And this weekend her task is made even easier thanks to the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Girlawhirl can just leave her donations by her mailbox, and they will be happily carried away...

This Saturday, May 10th, Girlawhirl can simply place items for donation in a bag by her mailbox, and her mail carrier will cart them off to local food banks. She's reminding all of her Super Pals to do the same and place a bag full of canned and nonperishable food items, but nothing in glass jars, out by the mailbox in the morning.

It's that easy to be a part of the annual food drive and make a difference. Last year more than 70 million pounds of food was collected for the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger food drive. The annual event is the nation's largest one-day food drive.

It's the kind of no-brainer Girlawhirl wishes crossed her path more often.
