Usually a procrastinator, every year Girlawhirl finds herself scrambling to get her taxes done in time for the April 15th deadline. She's usually so rushed and befuddled by the whole process that she ends up, always at the 11th hour, finding someone or some place to do it for her…
But this year, as she collected her W-2, her 1099's and other documents, she thought that really, since she files the EZ form, she should be able to do this herself. At the suggestion of a Super Pal who had already completed and filed her forms online, she checked out taxACT.
And it was very easy! Girlawhirl simply answered some questions about herself, and TaxACT did the rest. Based on her answers, TaxACT kept asking questions and Girlawhirl filled in the blanks. Entering the information from her W2 and 1099's was simple, and TaxACT saved addresses and employer information so Girlawhirl can skip some steps next year.
When she finished, TaxACT put the information in the appropriate form for Federal returns, and then the process started again for the selected state form. Girlawhirl was able to choose whether to print her form and file it by mail, or file electronically. And it all took less than an hour!

The best part? Because she filed so early, Girlawhirl's state refund was directly deposited to her checking account in less than one week and her Federal return should be deposited in less than two weeks. Now all she has to do is decide where to spend that refund!!
