The Women's Learning Partnership (WPL) is a network of 18 independent partner organizations working together to empower women so they can work to change their communities for the better. Concentrating in “Muslim-majority societies” in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, the WPL encourages women to learn the skills necessary to take leadership roles in their communities and aid human rights with the ultimate goal of obtaining world peace.

With programs to help mobilize a global women's movement for gender and social equality, to raise awareness of women's issues and to create a culture of peace, there are plenty of reasons Girlawhirl is happy to get behind the WPL.
